I was working on sendmail on a 4.11 STABLE amchine today, and I've been doing various "make stop, make start, and make restarts's in /etc/mail. Now I've noticed that the make stop's are complaining baout not finding the PID file, and indeed there is no /var/run/sendmail.pid file, after a "make start" But sendmail _does_ seem to be running. Where should I start looking for this? -- U.S. Encouraged by Vietnam Vote - Officials Cite 83% Turnout Despite Vietcong Terror - New York Times 9/3/1967
