Boot with old kernel and use the same above. What are the results? 


On my system

% uname -a
FreeBSD goatrance.futurebit.com 4.7-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE #....

% ls -l /usr/bin/cc
-r-xr-xr-x  2 root  wheel  130600 Oct  9 08:44 /usr/bin/cc  

% md5 /usr/bin/cc
MD5 (/usr/bin/cc) = 46b5c497010f86ab90f66d1f0796f541

% cc --version
2.95.4
