Take a look at the computer section of your local bookstore; there should
be several books that deal with CGI programming in Perl.  I have an
introductory book which I can't find at the moment that has a title like
"CGI/Perl Programming".  It's pretty thin but works through the basics of

I doubt you'll find a FreeBSD-specific book, but just about anything will
do (Java is meant to be cross-platform).  

I can't name any at the moment.

Check out the Handbook's Bibliography for some suggestions.
