I have almost the exact same card (rev 3.1 though)...

this sounds like a IRQ problem... as the sound driver isn't getting
notified that the buffer is [partially] done playing and needs to load
it up again...

this alomst might be a problem with conflicts with a lpt port... right
now I have my sbpro on irq 10 just to keep it out of the way... just
match the kernel with the jumpers on the card...
