I tried a 9-current snapshot (FreeBSD-9.0-HEAD-20101204-JPSNAP-amd64)
from http://pub.allbsd.org/FreeBSD-snapshots/
on a dell poweredge r210, with a Symbios Logic SAS2008. sysinstall didnt
find a disk. gpart from the livefs on the dvd didnt see anything either.
I'll have another try when i get a chance as we have a few r210s sitting
in the datacenter unused at the moment.

output from lspci -v on a linux box.
