fetchmail is the way to go. Easy to setup. It's in the ports.

go to /usr/ports

make search key=fetchmail

It's likely under /usr/ports/mail/fetchmail

Easy stuff actually. I see others have clued in to what you wanted and
suggested Fetchmail as well. I've used it, and it works GREAT!
