If there are > some keys that do not work for you, then please be more specific :-) Uh, well what WAS happening, was the screen was not "redrawing" correctly, on say, scrolling down in list of items in mutt. And looked absolutely terrible in Emacs, esp. if I ran GNUS. But I'm a frickin' idiot...I had tried setting cons25 on LOCAL console, but I'm actually ssh'ing to another box, and the REMOTE machine still had it's TERM set to xterm-color. No wonder I was having issues. Once I set both to cons25, all is fine...well, for what I tried in my quick run-through of things I know that didn't work before. Backspace still doesn't work on Emacs (well, technically, it does, it brings up help, but who wants that? :) ), but I think I know how to fix that... Thanks for the help. Sometimes it just takes someone else to say or write something, and a spark goes off.
