Now, despite the claim of this fooling the hubs/switches, without a
specially-written device driver, the MAC address change will set a
high HEX bit to a special value in the MAC address to indicate a
software change - Cabletron's smart switches doing VLAN and VFast
Secure management software for VLAN under Cabletron are set to detect
that high bit and act accordingly when doing ACL-based access. Hope
