I guess I've (wrongly) assumed for some reason that Q2 would happen
before the switch, so I had at least one day to get some things in
order.

Of course it was.  Git would cripple my work on the ports tree since
I greatly rely on efficient VCS, and that certainly makes me unhappy.
Or are we no longer allowed to criticize even the tools?
