Using a Quantum BigFoot (1.2Gb, IDE) HD, FreeBSD practicly corrupted every file it had written plus the fat sector that used to store the entries for the file. The partition was about 900Mb. The OS also couldn't read anything but the root directory (just the directory, not the files). With the same HD, but using a 200Mb partition didn't show any problems.
