Yes, I am able to ping smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Here are the results. PING smtp.mail.vip.sc5.yahoo.com (216.136.173.12): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 216.136.173.12: icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=220.336 ms 64 bytes from 216.136.173.12: icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=210.088 ms ^C --- smtp.mail.vip.sc5.yahoo.com ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 210.088/215.212/220.336/5.124 ms I can see it and resolve it, but unfortunately I am not able to use it to relay my outgoing mail like David is.
