Hi-
I submitted a PR about a month ago with a patch to make ifconfig(8) able
to manually set a carp(4) device's state (to either MASTER or BACKUP). I
haven't received any feedback on the PR or patch, and just noticed that
the PR was sent off initially to freebsd-bugs@. Perhaps some of you on
this list might be more interested in this patch. Here's the PR:
