Well, if it's specific to RedHat, it's not clear how well it will work
on other Linux distros - like FreeBSD :-).

One of the things I found attractive about FreeBSD was JKH's approach
of encouraging vendors to support Linux in general, and then making
the emulator work well enough to support other applications. You might
try checking with the emulators list (I'm not sure of the exact
address) to see if anyone has done anything with Btrieve before.

Personally, I'm about to emark on trying to convince a Linux DTP
package to run on FreeBSD.
