Hello,

It was posted before, I think, but I have a problem with my VIA IDE
controller. When using it in DMA mode, constantly write timeouts occur, and
that happens more and more as time passes.

The dmesg line is this:

atapci0: <VIA 82C586B UDMA33 controller> port 0xffa0-0xffaf at device 7.1 on
pci0

I can use hw.ata.ata_dma=0, indeed, and that is what I am using now. However,
this is not completely satisfactory, as Windows, Linux, NetBSD and OpenBSD do
support UDMA33 without problems.

Daan.
