Being brand new to the world of hardware RAID, I grabbed an AMI Megaraid
Express 200. It takes anywhere from 4MB up to 128MB SIMM for cache, and
seems to perform very well. It also supports a number of non-disk devices,
so you don't need an extra controller for a tape drive or CDROM (I've not
tested that myself, my tape is in another machine, and I used an IDE CDROM).

At any rate, the BIOS utility to create the volumes was very easy to use,
and once done, FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE booted right up without issue. I'm
pleased with this card.

It's always a long day, 86400 doesn't fit into a short
