Originally all my *.kss files where 555. I chmoded them to 4555 and kcheckpass and the lock screen works, but the screensaver didnt. So I just changed *.kss back to 555 and left kcheckpass at 4555, and now I have my screensaver back and Im able to lock the screen and get out of it properly. Just one side effect. When locked the session is still visible, not a blank screen like it was in 2.1. Thanks, Ill look more into it....
