While booting from the live cd it stops after printing (verbose mode enabled): battery0: battery initialization done, tried 1 times Disabling ACPI resulted in an stack trace and reboot. Removing the battery while boot just changes the last output. Then I installed 8.2 which was working and updating to 9.
