Hello! I want to attach/detach disks to the DPT Smart-Raid III controller without rebooting the machine every time -- the system drive is on another bus. This seems to work -- a simple "camcontrol rescan" detects the drives, etc. But the darn controller starts beeping, loudly and "camcontrol reset" does not make it quiet... Once I disconnect the drive it shuts up. In fact, it will start beeping endlessly if I attach and external device even. Thanks for any hints! -mi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
