This is the important part.  Your EC just attached later.  Now those 
messages are gone.  Something is wrong with your ASL accessing the EC 
before it has been attached.  If this causes functional problems later 
on, the solution is to try to make the EC attach earlier.  Linux had to 
add that hack I think.  It's a bit involved to do that though.
