            Bug ID: 237609
           Summary: editors/emacs: global-auto-revert-mode cause 100% cpu
                    usage
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: emacs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: johalun@FreeBSD.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(emacs@FreeBSD.org)
          Assignee: emacs@FreeBSD.org

After updating to latest version the Emacs process is stuck at 100% cpu usa=
ge.

Version: Emacs 26.2 (build 1, amd64-portbld-freebsd13.0, GTK+ Version 3.24.=
7)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Let your .emacs contain only (global-auto-revert-mode 1).
2. Start Emacs.
3. Emacs now using 100% cpu.
4. truss -p <pid> show that Emacs is doing fstatat(), possibly stuck endless
loop.

I filed a bug upstream but they said this is not an issue on Linux.
