    any problem with this?

    cd ..
    chmod -R .

    zsh's behavior actually allows you to chmod only dotfils/dotdirs:
    
    roman@freepuppy ~/tmp 1013:0 > echo .*
    .htaccess .mail .vim
    roman@freepuppy ~/tmp 1014:0 >
