Check the ata(4) ? man page... There's something about enabling dma in
loader.conf via hw.ata.dma="1"...
Anyway, read the man page first!

Sorry guys but I think I missed this one while fighting a war with DNS!

options        ATA_ENABLE_ATAPI_DMA #Enable DMA on ATAPI devices


I tried compiling a kernel today and this was rejected. Any reference to
where it was discussed, please..
