I think you need something like this:

BUILD_DEPENDS=  ${LOCALBASE}/lib/libbg.a:${PORTSDIR}/devel/bglibs \
                ${LOCALBASE}/lib/libcvm-client.a:${PORTSDIR}/security/cvm

(taken from mail/mailfront port).
