Hi, qmail has no dependance on any sendmail files. qmail runs without any problems on machines that have never had sendmail installed. However, applications use /usr/sbin/sendmail to locally inject mail. That should be a softlink to qmail's sendmail impersonator. Or you can use mailwrapper instead.
