If > not, why not? Anyone can receive a mailing list and do pretty much whatever they want with it. In this case, it looks like universities in Norway and Taiwan are redirecting it to newsgroups. So you don't get a warning because it's not FreeBSD.org that's doing it. The archives of the mailing lists are available on the FreeBSD web page as well. Spammers trawling for addresses will obtain them there, too. A general-purpose warning could be a good addition to the mailing lists page: "Posts to these lists will be visible on this web site, and may be mirrored to newsgroups or otherwise posted elsewhere by groups outside our control. Spammers and other scum may collect email addresses or other information from any of these sources.
