Hello,

as an update for those who are interested: I have narrowed the cause down
to the changes in r255138. During the search I also noticed that there is
a large decrease in rsync(1) network speed associated with r255138.

rsync-ing an already synced file shows 535.46kB/s before r255138 and
27.40kB/s (target host is connected over DSL) after.

A bug report is filed as http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=183753

Ralf
