again i would suggest you to use the web page
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/<category>/<port>;
or update your ports tree

Q: did you untar ports.tar.gz over existing ports tree??
if you did still have the tarball remove everything from ports and
untar it again.
