We have two SANs with FreeBSD and Debian servers on them, sharing (and
booting from) a generic RAID array (Mylex controller IIRC).  The HBA
is a Qlogic QLA-2200.

Things to stay away from:

- Pure FC-AL topologies
- Windows on the same loop as anything else
- Storage devices that can only be managed through a proprietary
Windows application
