Hello, I upgraded from 4.7 -> 4.8 today, and sysinstall claimed that the installation failed, saying it couldn't even install the bin distribution set... However, it boots with the 4.8 kernel, and all the modification times I have checked in the system directories say Apr 3 of this year, the same as the new kernel file... I ran the install twice, and tried to watch the messages using ALT-F2, but they scrolled by very quickly and I can't seem to find a log file of the install anywhere. So I'm really not sure what is going on. I'd like to know if there is a way to tell if the system was completely upgraded. Alternatively, I'd like to know how much trouble I am in :-) Thanks, Scott -- sdb@ssr.com
