One more question: Is there any reason to use EXTRACT_CMD=3D/usr/bin/ar ins=
tead
of EXTRACT_CMD=3D${AR}, which uses /usr/local/bin/ar from devel/binutils?

I tested with amd64 and it seems to extract like expected. Is there somethi=
ng
wrong with it for other platforms?
