I have a thinkpad 390e 366mhz with 250MB ram, and DVDrom option
upgrade. the default 4GB disk is ok if you dont do dual boot, it can be
tight. I've replaced it with a 20Gb disk. Performance is fine since, but
dont expect to be great for DivX running avifile. Also note the TP 390E
has an ESS SOLO audio chip. At the time of the configuration FreeBSD 4.2,
pcm driver didn't operate this chip even tho it say it can in the man
pages. Im not sure if that had improved since I've upgraded to July 31st
4.3-stable, and haven't gotten around to try it again. Im currently using
the OSS sound drivers, and it seems to work just fine.
