Hi Daniel, > i have a question about the acroread port. > I have a FreeBSD 4-stable system and when installing acoread i got the > following message: > su-2.05a# make install <snip> > /compat/linux/usr/bin/strip:No such file or directory > *** Error code 1 (ignored) <snip> > After installing acroread works, but my question is if the error message > is normal? Don't worry about this error message. It is normal with the current linux_base port. # grep strip Makefile -@/compat/linux/usr/bin/strip ${PREFIX}/Acrobat5/Reader/intellinux/= bin/acroread The maintainer has put a '-' in front of this line, which means "ignore an error here". linux_base 6 has had /compat/linux/usr/bin/strip.
