Marko has virtual images with cpus assigned to them (or, at least he has work in that direction, and Kip has work on NICs with multiple receive/xmit rings etc. ALC has work on virtualised interfaces with hardware support. Jhb and others are doing multiple MSI interrupts and network polling...
