If there is any way I can speed up > this process and be safe? rm -rf /usr/src/sys/<ARCH>/compile/GENERIC cd /usr/src/sys/<ARCH>/conf config GENERIC cd ../compile/GENERIC make depend make make install Once that is done, you can just repeat: cd /usr/src/sys/<ARCH>/compile/GENERIC make make install if only one or two files are changed.
