- Experienced in administering a modern UNIX/network environment.
  - Use Perl, Tcl/Tk to write administrative tools and WWW CGI scripts.

    systems.
- Senior Network Assistant at University of Oregon Residence Networking.
  - Make recommendations for equipment purchases.
  - Direct equipment sales & buyback programs.
  - Assist in development & maintenance of inventory control and problem
    tracking software systems.
  - Debug unusual or difficult installation problems, either in person or
    by phone.
  - Develop customer support documentation, both printed and Web pages

reporting system. Troubleshoot system problems and suggest upgrade paths.
Build, install, and support office gateways running NAT, WWW, mail, and
FTP servers.  Assist with troubleshooting customers Macintosh and PC
connection problems over analog modem and DSL.

July 1998 - September 1998

Undergraduate Research Assistant.  Install and maintain Network Research
Lab, a collection of 10 Pentium II/266 PCs running FreeBSD.  Install or

second-tier support for 6 other Network Assistants, install and configure
network hardware and software on residents' IBM-compatible PCs &
Macintoshes, assist with development and administration of hardware sales
and buyback programs, assist Housing Computing Coordinator with computer
support in University Housing main office, administer Residence Networking
Web site and file server running FreeBSD (UNIX).  Designed problem
tracking and scheduling system for use on the schools DEC Alpha running
VMS.
