An article appeared in The Independent yesterday entitled "Linux proves
itself a worthy opponent to Windows giant". The article starts with the
story that a US clothing chain store, Jay Jacobs, has chosen Linux over
NT and other commercial OS's for it's new retail solutions system.

The article then goes on to talk about OSS and M$ in general.

OK, it's not a FreeBSD article, but at least it's good news about M$
losing out to OSS.

The article is on The Independent's web site at
http://www.independent.co.uk/net/981116ne/index.html and click the
"Eva Pascoe" link.

If your browser doesn't support frames the article
is also at
