Please verify that your disk controller is being properly probed at boot time. See the Hardware Guide on the Documentation menu for clues on diagnosing this type of problem." I am using adaptec 3940, with a 8gb micropolis scsi drive. Freebsd sees the drive and the adaptec 3940.
