This justifies a name change. namedb (name database) wasnt changed and should stay as it it IMHO. IŽd also accept if the name for namedb would change, but I see no real reason for it and some disadvantages: - It would cost extra work in the documentation area - would possibly break shell scripts for customers because the base dir changes - people are simly used to have a /etc/namedb, why break with old traditions for no good reason.
