I think it's pretty obvious from the article, and from what's happening
in the exploding Linux market. Look in a book store, there are 1000's of
books on Linux, and if your lucking, Greg's book on FreeBSD might be there.
Everywhere you turn people are falling over themselves to run Linux. 

Is Linux better than FreeBSD, well no. Is it worse, probably not. But it's
different. What's the difference? The Linux community didn't have the stigma
of the law suit back in '93. It also took the Microsoft programming model as
part of it's strategy, and that is Marketing. Obnoxious and in your face,
bullying companies to port software to Linux.
