There seem to be several PRs about this bug.  This one seems to have
a correct diagnosis (just another missing range check).  My previous
followup to it (to the submitter and freebsd-bugs) didn't seem to go
anywhere :-(.  Is it necessary to put freebsd-gnats-submit in the
headers again?
