Actually, the facts are a bit different. When the machine boots up, it
apparently does not see the Wavelan card. Taking the card out and booting up
without it and later inserting it, produces some messages which suggest that
the kernel correctly reads the CIS, but then it panics immediately. Below is a
traceback. Crashdump and kernel available on request.
