[only root can use the system after a crash] I don't really know, but I'm game to take a crack at it. First, to de-install & re-install KDE: Depends. If you installed from the package, just do pkg_info | grep kde to see what's installed. I installed from the ports, so I don't know if it's the same for you, but if so, you have a "meta port"; if so, just pkg_delete that; if not, pkg_delete all the KDE packages. Then insert your install CD (if you installed from CD) and pkg_add back all the pagkages you just deleted. Owing to the package dependencies, the order shouldn't matter since earliers ones will be added automatically if necessary. -- Brian, the man from Babble-On . . . . bts@babbleon.org --------------------> Free Dmitry Sklyarov! <------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
