Oh, btw, I didn't quite notice the relevant bits in the first reply.
*Nobody* who has commit access is considered a 'guest'.  At least, not
by me.  You are as much a committer as anybody else with CVS access.

One of the reasons I started using FreeBSD was that my user input, even
before getting commit access to doc/, was respected by older committers.
I still remember Sheldon Hearn's kind reply that pointed me in a helpful
manner to the mailwrapper(8) manpage when I opened a bug entry about
Sendmail's config setup.

That's still one of the biggest factors that keeps me around FreeBSD.
My expertise in programming & documenting stuff is not as far-reaching
or as deep as that of many committers, but it is refreshing and quite
motivatig to be treated as "an equal among equals".  That's one of the
aspects of FreeBSD that I am immeasurably fond of :-)
