I am using an external scsi Cdrom drive.

I use this peripheral on other machines also, so sometimes it happens
the drive is attached when the Freebsd box is already running.

As a result I can't get the kernel see the Cdrom, because the device is
not configured yet. Obviously just restarting the kernel makes the fix,
but I'm looking for a flexible way to force detection of new hardware
while the kernel is still running.

Does anyone know how?

Thanks,

Marco M.
