Correct me if I am wrong, but /etc/passwd is provided for
compatibility. BSD uses the /etc/master.passwd. If you edit this
file, that will do it. Or you can do a 'chsh' while logged in as that
user and change your shell that way.

Cheers,
Eric

Subject: bash

Hello,

I installed the bash package, and edited /etc/passwd to use
/usr/local/bin/bash as the shell for some users, but it did not work.
Is there anything else I need to do in order to run bash as my
default
shell?

TIA

nirv
