Seems this is an ASUS A7N8X motherboard and the ata controller is being recognized as: atapci0: <Generic PCI ATA controller> port 0xf000-0xf00f at device 9.0 on pci0 ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0 Brian is looking at PR kern/47311 patch to try to get DMA mode working for his CD/DVD-ROM (acd1) ad0: 6149MB <Maxtor 90640D4> [13328/15/63] at ata0-master BIOSDMA acd0: CD-RW <CENDYNE_481648AX> at ata1-master PIO4 acd1: DVD-ROM <ATAPI 12X DVDROM> at ata1-slave PIO4 Anyone else out there have any input on this ?
