Yes, I know that tutorial from this site.  But for me, the glade
interface was really self explaining.  I didn't have to read any
tutorial.

Yes, I know.  but I don't want to do that... 

I think, gettext is a good thing right now, since I understood what it
does.  And it's not difficult to get it working.

glade2 does not support c++ right now?  I didn't see a swith in the
options.  I hope that will come soon.
