(bcc'ing someone else who asked about where I
got the firmware..)

running a recently cvsupped 4.7 (around Feb 10) on
an pavillion 9795c (don't know the exact model motherboard).

(this worked for my MA401/MA301 combo...)
I used the WinUpdate flash utility found in dwl650_firmware_8c2.exe
(can get it from dlink...the link I found was here:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/DWL650/Firmware/dwl650_firmware_8c2.exe
(you only want the utility and *not* the firmare included in it).

I got the firmare for my card from netgate at
http://www.netgate.com/support/prism_firmware/1.4.9.zip

I found out about this from reading

  http://hostap.epitest.fi/hostap/2002-08/1701.html

and

  http://hostap.epitest.fi/hostap/2002-07/1379.html

(Make sure you use the correct firmware...read the
accompanying documentation...)

Good luck!
