Sorry about that... My problems with ppp are resolved. I'm not sure it is a very secure way however, but it's got to be enough. I added the user to ppp.conf and I changed the permissions on /var/run/ to look like: drwxrwxr-x 4 root bin 512 Jul 11 22:42 ./ because the user is in the bin group, it can create the appropriate socket...
