Greetings, I have recently installed a BB2016 in our Internet server. Unfortunately, the man pages and the mail archives only contain info on how to set-up the BB1008 and BB1004 (except to say that the BB2016 is "like two BB1008" together). Anyway, here's what I have in my config file: device sio2 at isa? port 0x100 tty flags 0x205 irq 11 vector siointr device sio3 at isa? port 0x108 tty flags 0x205 device sio4 at isa? port 0x110 tty flags 0x205 device sio5 at isa? port 0x118 tty flags 0x205 device sio6 at isa? port 0x120 tty flags 0x205 device sio7 at isa? port 0x128 tty flags 0x205 device sio8 at isa? port 0x130 tty flags 0x205 device sio9 at isa? port 0x138 tty flags 0x205 device sio10 at isa? port 0x140 tty flags 0x205 device sio11 at isa? port 0x148 tty flags 0x205 device sio12 at isa? port 0x150 tty flags 0x205 device sio13 at isa? port 0x158 tty flags 0x205 device sio14 at isa? port 0x160 tty flags 0x205 device sio15 at isa? port 0x168 tty flags 0x205 device sio16 at isa? port 0x170 tty flags 0x205 device sio17 at isa? port 0x178 tty flags 0x205 it looks reasonable, but I'm a bit concerned about having 16 flags starting with 0x2... I would have assumed that the register would have been 8 bits and hence you could only have supported 8 ports off of a given port!?! (so maybe the last 8 ports need to be 0xa05?) The situation now is that the machine is running with 8 modems, so things look reasonable, *but* it freezes every few days, with the BocaBoard left in a strange state that sometimes requires a powerdown [it didn't freeze before we added the BB2016 and 2 more modems] This system is running an old snapshot from early February (with a couple of patches to fix crashes). Has sio improved any in 2.0.5? (I haven't upgraded since I didn't think it would help much). Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice you may have.
